GRANT PROCESS
The Calallen Education Foundation (CEF) provides educators within the Calallen ISD an opportunity to request a grant for teaching initiatives that go above and beyond available Calallen ISD budgeted dollars. There are two types of CEF grants:
-
The Standard CEF Grant is being offered in the Spring with a February 1st deadline. This grant requires a written application. Dollar limits are $2,500 for an individual applicant, $6,000 for two or more classroom level teachers on the same application, and $10,000 for a district or campus wide application.
-
The CEF Mini-Grant provides a monthly grant application opportunity from September through May. This grant requires a request form and a 5-7 minute presentation in front of a panel of judges. Mini-grant requests have a $500 limit.
Eligibility: All educators within the Calallen ISD are eligible to apply for a Standard CEF Grant or a CEF Mini-Grant.
How to apply: The Calallen Education Foundation Grant Application and criteria and the Mini-Grant Request Form are available on the Calallen ISD Intranet site as well as the Calallen Education Foundation web site.
Deadline:
-
Standard CEF Grant - February 1

CEF Mini-Grant - Application presentations will be held on the first Tuesday of each month – September 1, October 6, November 3, December 1, February 2, March 2, April 6, May 4 – at 5:30 pm at the STAR Annex Training Room. Applicants must submit the CEF Mini-Grant Request Form at least one week prior to the application presentation. Mini-Grants will not be offered in January.
Awards: Standard grants will be awarded and funded before the end of the semester. Mini-Grants will be funded within one week of being awarded. We encourage all educators with creative/innovative ideas to inspire students’ learning to apply for a Standard CEF Grant or CEF Mini-Grant!
